Where two crafts meet as one.
The brass is beaten by hand until its surface catches light unevenly. It is a dish, but one that refuses to sit flat on the table. Beneath it, a turned walnut stem gives the platter its height and character, made in a different workshop. The two meet at the centre and unscrew for travel.
A meeting of hand-worked brass and turned walnut, Minar brings together two materials, two crafts, and two ways of making into a single object.
